Our Commitment
Over the last 30 years, Cherry Ridge Skilled Nursing Facility has been a family owned and operated facility. Cherry Ridge is a short term and long term care facility located in Bastrop, Louisiana, that accepts Medicare, Medicaid, Humana, Vantage, and other private insurances. We are committed to providing a family-like environment where we encourage our residents to live their life to the fullest as we would our own parents and grandparents.
Staff
Cherry Ridge is staffed 24/7 by licensed and certified nurses everyday. Our highly qualified staff implements individualized care plans for each patient. Many of our staff members have been with us for years and take great pride in their work. Their love for tis facility and its residents is shown daily in the way they care for each other and their patients.
Creating Comfort
Creating a homelike, personal space that allows comfort and self-expression is important. We encourage residents and families to bring familiar items such as special blankets or pillows, framed family photographs, a favorite recliner, and other pieces to personalize their room. If there are questions about what is appropriate, our staff is available to answer questions.
Visiting Hours
We invite families and friends to visit as often as possible. In addition to in-room visits, we offer common areas, private group rooms, and a comfortable front porch for days when the weather permits enjoying the outdoors. When in-person visits are not appropriate, virtual visits are available by coordinating with staff – we are available to assist as needed.
Home Visits
We encourage outside visits and feel that the engagement helps maintain physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. Residents are able to accompany loved ones and friends on outings and enjoy shopping, eating at favorite restaurants, attending church services, staying overnight at home, and other activities that are an important component to their quality of life. Our residents are asked to sign out when leaving and sign in upon return to the facility. Ask our staff for more information – we are happy to discuss the number of annual leave days available for overnight stays.
